We live in a fast paced world, where a person's accumulations equate to their success. We line in a world where fancy cars, homes, and wealth are the ideal way to create happiness.
That is not true for my family and I. We do not have the best of everything, but we make the best of everything. We may not have everything, but we have each other. I personally like it this way much better.
When you become a slave to trends you lose your identity. Your identity becomes having the latest and the greatest. If you aren't in this seasons fashion you are somehow less valuable.
We on the other hand love being in our garden, fishing, tending to our animals, creating products and just spending time together. Our lives are rich in experiences and beauty. Something money can't buy.
I don't know about you, but every time my children come over and snuggle me I personally feel like I have won't the lottery and I get the joy of having that feeling multiple times a day every single day. So much more fulfilling to me than a Prada bag or a Ferrari.
I am forever grateful for the path that I have chosen. The incredible people in my life. The love of my family and I wouldn't change it for anything.
