Quiet Amongst The Chaos

As I start each day, it is always with farm chores. After those chores are fulfilled I wake the children to prepare for the upcoming school day. These mornings are hectic, chaotic and filled with many big emotions.

Some days we struggle to find our shoes. Other days it's socks. There is always a reason for us to struggle to be ready when the "goodbye home" alarm rings.

So much so in fact, I have even had to leave early and run through Walmart to buy shoes. Another story for another day.

We always seem to be running just as fast as we can. Four very long days a week, the children also have various therapy sessions thrown I to the mix to further disregulate and cause us mental overload.

Monday though, Monday is my peaceful day for reflection. Once my littlest child and I get home, we are home for a while. We can cuddle and snuggle the day away. We usually go and visit our goats and chickens. Then have a peaceful lunch. We play games and talk for hours.

Who knew Monday, the most dreaded day for so many, would be my quiet in the chaos of every week.
